I’m sharing an email that I’ve just received from Geoffrey McCarthy, Public Rights of Way Officer at DBC.
This email is to give you advance notice of a 5 day temporary closure of a section of the Teesdale Way between Piercebridge and High Coniscliffe. This will run from Monday 19th January for 5 days but with luck should only be closed for 2 days. The closure is to allow for essential works along the closed section:
- Surface repairs at the very east end as the footpath descends from the A67 caused by surface water.
- Deck repairs to a footbridge.
Notices will be placed on site and I will look to add advisory notices at the Piercebridge end of the Teesdale Way and the other two public footpaths that link up to it near the village.
